Sherri Frick, Principal
Welcome to Ballast Point Elementary School. Ballast Point is located in South Tampa and has been in existence since 1925. We are rich in tradition and have a small town feel. Some of our families have been attending our school for generations.
I graduated from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree and then moved to Tampa. I continued my education at the University of South Florida with a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I have been an educator since 1993 and have taught at a variety of schools in Hillsborough County ~ Roland Park 6th Grade Center, McDonald Elementary School and Philip Shore Magnet School of the Arts. I then became the Assistant Principal of Roosevelt Elementary in February of 2004 and most recently became the proud Principal of Ballast Point Elementary on July 1st, 2008. |

Debra Fitzpatrick, Assistant Principal
After graduating from USF seventeen years ago, I have had a wide variety of experience as an educator. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught all grade levels kindergarten-grade 6. Most of my teaching career was spent teaching grades 1 and 4. I also have had the opportunity to work as writing resource teacher and a reading resource teacher where I worked with students of all levels while providing support and professional development to instructional staff. In addition to sixteen years teaching experience, I have served as an instructor of teaching courses and as a mentor at the district level. On a personal note, my husband and I have two children, Kyle (age 15) and Mandy (age 13) and two dogs, Marty and Peppie. This is my fourth year at Ballast Point, and I enjoy being an
Assistant Principal.
