Chats with the Principal Throughout the year, our new Principal, Sherri Frick will be holding a fabulous program where you may ask pertinent questions. The First Grade "Chat with the Principal" will be after the New Year some time. What a great opportunity to connect with the leader of our school!
PTA Meetings It doesn't take much to join the PTA. For just five dollars you can support our school and have the opportunity to vote on important issues throughout the year pertaining to the education of your children and our school policies. Meetings are not mandatory and there's No Obligations Invoved! The PTA would love any contribution you may offer. May be it a small donation, a few hours of your time, or just your participation in the monthly PTA meetings.
Breakfast
Would you drive to work with your gas gage on empty???? Of course not! So please don't send your children to our classrooms without a full tank of "brain fuel". Encourage your first grader to Rev Up their engines with a FREE breakfast here at school each day. Please make sure your children are going to Breakfast FIRST. If they don't, they may forget to go, waste time walking to class, and they'll feel rushed and start the morning off on a bad note. Thanks!
BULLDOG PLEDGE Do my best each day Offer to be a kind and caring person Give respect to myself and others Stay safe

Homework Tips Set a regular time for homework. This will help children finish their assignments. Choose a schedule that works best for your child and your family. Pick a place. A study area certainly does not have to be fancy but needs to be fairly quiet, have lots of light, and have supplies close by. A desk in your child’s bedroom is great, but a corner of the kitchen table will work just fine. Remove distractions. Turn off the TV!!! Try having all family members participate in some quiet activity during this time. You may want to take a noisy toddler outside or into another room to play.
Struggles or Boredom? If your child finds the homework too easy or too difficult, please let your child's teacher know. We will accommodate those children who need more assistance or a more challenging assignment that will better fit their needs. |
